New Haven & Fairfield Counties

Located in the southwestern corner of Connecticut, both New Haven and Fairfield Counties offer numerous benefits, activities and attractions. Both counties are home to several cities such as New Haven and Milford in New Haven County and Norwalk, Stamford and Bridgeport in Fairfield County. Various transportation options are available including Amtrak, Metro-North Commuter Railroad, the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry and the Tweed New Haven Airport.

All of these are easily accessible via Interstate 95, the major roadway running along the Connecticut shoreline. The region also offers a variety of activities including several museums, sports and recreation venues, local beaches and many dining and nightlife options.

Ideally located between New York City and Hartford, CT, Bridgeport offers a waterfront location, easy access to I-95 and a variety of local attractions.

Moving to Bridgeport

If you aren’t familiar with Bridgeport, you might be surprised to learn all that it has to offer. While Bridgeport boasts a progressive outlook, it is also a city known for its heritage and history. Bridgeport has numerous parks and recreational areas, and is most commonly known as the “Park City.” Additionally, the Long Island Sound adds character to the city with charter fishing boats, harbor cruises, several marinas and a large deep-water port.

Attractions such as the Beardsley Zoo, the Discovery Museum and Captain’s Cove, a maritime amusement center, all add to the list of activities. Bridgeport also offers numerous cultural activities including the Klein Memorial Auditorium, the Greater Bridgeport Symphony and the Housatonic Museum of Art.

Education

Bridgeport is located close to several major universities including Yale University, Fairfield University, Sacred Heart University and a UCONN satellite campus in Stamford, CT.
